Cologne

Vivacious is the word to describe Cologne, a great city of Germany and one of the best tourist destinations of the world. How to reach
The international airport Koln-Bonn is the nearest airport connecting the city. Cologne can also be reached by private car as well as by train. In fact a very pleasant train ride from Frankfurt to Cologne passing Lorelei the Rhine Valley and other pretty places awaits tourists and is a worthwhile option. A taxi ride from the airport to the city centre takes about 20 minutes and is a good choice to exercise. Moving around city is not a problem with plenty of options such as buses, trams, subways, trains etc. being part of the public transport. A god option to see the place is on bicycle or by foot.

From Cologne tourists can also take boat trips on the Rhine all the way to Strasbourg in France. The most scenic part of the route lies between St. Goar and Rudesheim with a number of ancient castles, palaces, vineyards, hills etc adding to the landscape of the city. The music festivals organized in the city add to the carnival atmosphere and make the whole experience electrifying.
