Pattaya

An internationally well-known seaside resort, Pattaya is a vibrant city and a must on the travel itinerary of all visitors and tourists any time of the year. Its population is a colourful potpourri of mixed nationalities from near and far. A vast range of tourism-related activities await and welcome visitors and tourists ranging from relaxing on the pristine clear beaches, actively participating in various water sports and events and of course visiting the scores of attractions in and around Pattaya including wild life sanctuaries, temples, hills, caves and what not. It is indeed a complete holiday package to visit this small yet wonderful place.





How to reach
Pattaya can be reached by all means of transport like air, train, road and ferry services. Pattaya is located 147 kilometres from Bangkok and can be reached in a comfortable 2-hour drive. Air-conditioned buses regularly leave Bangkok. The journey takes about 2.30 hours. The State Railways of Thailand also offers daily train service departing Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Station. Besides Bangkok Airways has daily flights connecting Phuket with Pattaya Travelling around Pattaya is most convenient by mini-buses and private taxies. Those who wish to explore Pattaya’s surrounding countryside and beaches at leisure, can hire motorcycles, jeeps or cars which are available in plenty.

Staying in Pattaya is never a problem with plenty of options in terms of beach houses, hotels, resorts, private accommodation, hostels etc. Just be there and you will be amazed at the number of options you have.

Major Attractions
Pattaya is a dream holiday for those who want to enjoy the beaches and water sports and adventure. The place also has a number of natural attractions and wild life sanctuaries housing some of the most endangered species. JOMTIEN BEACH, a 6 kilometers long and straight beach is some 4 kilometers south of Pattaya and is the most notable of beaches. The beach is popular with wind surfers and water sports enthusiasts. WONG PRACHAN BEACH is on the northern side of Pattaya Bay and is ideal for swimming and relaxation. PATTAYA BEACH some 4 kilometers long, faces Pattaya Bay, the major venue from where boats visit Pattaya's offshore islands. ELEPHANT VILLAGE is a popular tourist spot for amazing daily performances by wild elephants and for enjoying elephant jungle rides. KHAO PATTAYA (KHAO PHRA BAHT) is a small hill with an asphalt road leading to the top. From its peak, tourists can have a panoramic view of Pattaya City and Pattaya Bay. MINI SIAM a miniature city offers replicas of 80 sacred places and important historical sites around Pattaya. THE BOTTLE ART contains an extensive collection of more than 300 pieces of artwork contained in Glass bottles in the form of well-known tourist attractions, churches, temples, palaces, ships boats etc. and is a tourists' delight.

Pattaya is a delightful place for sea food lovers and those who want to experiment in their cuisine. The place has a host of options for food right from the lavish and expensive start hotels and restaurants to road side food joints and fast food centres offering exotic local cuisine as well as international cuisine.

Night Life
Pattaya is a paradise for night life lovers and those who want to have fun. The place has plenty of pubs, bars, cafes, night clubs and of course very popular cabarets. Fantastic, exquisite and unique, the cabaret shows are famous throughout the country and are known worldwide.
